GBI recognizes that each operation has requirements that are unique. For this reason, we expect to customize our sorting system to meet those requirements and will participate in customer design meetings to make recommendations according to the goals set by each individual customer.
In the course of our development GBI has gone to great lengths to keep our systems modular and simple, not only with regard to the mechanical aspects of the equipment, but also with regard to the electronics and software. For example, our controls are similar across our different lines of sorter types including the carrier (bomb bay), tilt tray and hanging garment sorters.
Programming is no different. GBI writes our software for the latest Windows® platforms and take full advantage of the links between it and Microsoft's Software Development Tools. We write in C++ and .Net following object oriented programming rules making it faster and easier to implement customer desired features and options.
Our knowledgeable staff of programmers and software designers will interface directly with the customer and their IT department to design and develop solutions that are in keeping with their goals. We have, on many occasions, provided assistance to the customer IT professionals by way of advice or source code to assist in accomplishing their development toward a more robust and integrated solution with our systems.
