GBI Sortation Systems - Sorter Types

GBI manufactures several types of sortation systems to best suit the application. Like all our sortation systems, each sortation system is modular and may be expanded, contracted or rearranged as your growth dictates. Many options are available and as always GBI will customize the sortation system to best suit your application.

• GBI Tilt Tray sorter sortation system is best suited for irregularly shaped product or difficult product to sort such as small poly bags. This sortation system comes in various configurations and has the widest range of custom features to best suit the application. There are numerous applications for this sorter style including jewelry, accessories, books, CDs & DVDs, flat clothing, jiffy bags, and any small item weighing from 0.02 ounces up to 25 pounds.
• GBI Bomb Bay (Carrier-Style) sorter sortation system is best suited for items that fit within a 13 inch x 6.75 inch x 3 inch form factor. Product drops vertically into collection chutes or mailbags that are arranged in a dense dual row pattern to access the maximum number of sort locations for a given footprint. This sortation system also comes standard with verification providing a guaranteed accuracy rating of 10 times the industry standard (99.99%). This is the most economical fully automated sortation system in price per sort. Look at this sortation system for sorting small packages such as check boxes, optical lenses and glasses, pharmacy products or items within these size limits.
• GBI Hanging Garment Sorter sortation system is specially designed to sort hanging garments. GBI's Hanging Garment Sortation System is an automated sortation system, modularly designed to provide efficient conveyance of garments on hangers at average flow rates of 7,000 pieces per hour. The sortation system functionality includes various controls; such as cross hanger detection, computer controls, product scanning, tracking, sorting, and order staging.
• GBI Pick-to-Light System is an excellent entry-level sortation system in that it speeds up the manual sort process while increasing accuracy. Operators are directed to pick or put product as directed by lights. Operator training is virtually unnecessary. GBI's Pick-to-Light Systems are constructed as smart modules providing a wide range of functional capability. There are numerous software modules, and as with all our systems, GBI will customize the programming to meet your needs, providing numerous reports and features not always available in other sortation systems.
• GBI Sorter-Lite System sortation system is the newest addition to our line of Bomb-Bay (Carrier Style) "Simple Solution" Sortation Systems. This GBI economical Sortation System, the Sorter-Lite, combines the best features of our full sized sortation systems. The GBI Sorter-Lite sortation system was specifically designed for the smaller warehouse and photofinishing labs that could benefit from this technology, but either didn't have the space for a sortation system or the volume to justify the return on investment. Some of the products that are ideally suited for this Bomb-Bay (Carrier Style) sortation system include optical products, pharmaceutical products, check boxes, seed and photofinishing envelopes.
